Long Time...

Hey everyone
Its been quite awhile since I've been on here! I have been super busy with classes and working. I'm now on the work study program at the school where I am required to work 16 hours a week and in turn get paid 3 extra dollars an hour that goes straight to my tuition. It is so nice that they have something like this set up because it covers almost a class a semester! Other than that I just got a job at Alternative Tan and I absolutely love it! I work very flexible hours and the environment is extremely laid back and fun!
This semester has been pretty tough now that I am starting to get into some of my core classes, and after spring break I have had no motivation to do anything! I only have to stay motivated for 6 more weeks and then its summer! I can't wait!
This Saturday we have our Exploration Day here at Bryan so I'll be working that. At the Exploration Day people get a chance to learn a little more about the college and the different programs that we offer here. Also, students can see a hands on demonstration of each different program! I encourage anyone that is interested in the college to attend, and if you can't come this weekend we offer one in the fall also.

I totally agree with Julie! Break wasn't long enough! I spend most of my time sitting around doing nothing but watching movies and watching March Madness Basketball! I filled out brackets and my mens bracket went downhill when Kansas lost! I've also been watching the NIT because of the huskers and also because Wyoming is still in it. My friend from back home, Sara, plays for Wyoming. So watching basketball and going to school is pretty much all going on in my life right now. Hope you all enjoyed your break!

Springing forward...

Hope everyone had an awesome spring break! It's hard getting back into the routine of school. I had an eventful spring break to say the least...a few students from Bryan and I traveled to Cap-Haitien, Haiti. It was an unforgettable experience. I learned a lot of new things and put my nursing skills to the test as we helped over a thousand people. We worked in a couple clinics and a school outside the city. All of our supplies were donated. I wish everyone could get the same opportunity I had. It really changed our perspective of how we live in America and how the natives of Haiti live. We need to appreciate the resources we have everyday.

This week I have spent a lot of time studying as I had two tests and a quiz. Yesterday I took my second Physics test. After taking the test, I felt way more confident than I did after that first one. The class is definitely one of the hardest classes I've ever taken and it is taking a lot more studying than I expected! At least we are already half way through the semester! I'm pretty excited for this weekend because its girls state basketball down here in Lincoln. Some of my friends and family are coming up that I haven't seen in a while. I plan on going to a few basketball games and just relaxing. Glad that we only have one more week until Spring Break! The break is much needed!!
