Well it's Monday! I have come to find that as I progress through nursing school, each semester seems to take more and more of my "out of class" time. So much preparation and studying goes into the nursing courses and labs! I like it though, interesting stuff. Hope everyone had a good weekend! Mine was crazy to say the least. My boyfriend's nephew is in the hospital recovering from encephalitis and some brain damage, it's so sad because he's only 3. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him, we are just SO thankful he's alive. Needless to say most of my time was spent at Children's in Omaha. Then my mom was admitted to the hospital and discovered she has colitis! Bad luck this weekend for medical emergencies. Hope we don't get any more snow either! I'm ready for warm weather...only 3 more week until our Haiti mission :)

Hey Everyone,
It's been awhile since I've blogged! Seems like this semester is flying by. We are already 6 weeks into it. This semester has been way busier than my first semester but yet, I've still found fun things to do in my free time. Last weekend I went with a friend to Dear John. It's definitely a tear jerker. I cried more than once! I thought the plot of the story was good but it wasn't the ending I was expecting. It was kind of blah to me. This weekend one of my friends from high school is coming and we are planning to go to Valentines Day. I've heard it's a pretty funny movie so hopefully it'll be good! I hope all of you reading this are finding time in your busy lives to get out and have a little fun.

Update from Springfield IL
Ok, so it has been a really long time since I blogged last. I had just moved here to Springfield IL for my full time clinical experience in adult cardiac sonography last time I blogged (probably back in August or September). I guess I've been having such a great time I forgot to tell everyone about it. I can honestly say that this has been one of the best decisions of my life, I absolutely love it here and I have learned so much more than I ever imagined. If anyone out there has a chance to leave your comfort zone and get out of the state for a chance of a lifetime, I would highly suggest it. It teaches you so much more than career skills, but about life, making you stronger in more ways than thought possible. I never thought I would be able to have an apt all alone, move to a place where I didn't know anyone, and not have a clue what the future brings, but I have shocked myself. Let me say, if I can do this, anyone can! Miss you all!
