Snow!!!

I am so tired of the snow!! I feel like it has been snow for the past week straight! Since we have 4 people and only a 2 car garage we alternate every week and this week just happens to be my week out of the garage! This means I have to get up extra early to go out in the freezing cold and scrape my car! The only good thing about the snow is that I don't want to get out in it so I have actually gotten some studying done. With classes starting to pick up the tests and quizzes are starting to pick up too. Also, I have a paper due for my English class every Tuesday and Thursday so that takes up a bunch of my time! It will all be worth it when this semster is over and I start my actual nursing classes. And when its time to relax and go to the beach :)

Miss America

I know I know I'm sorry, but I just had to blog about Miss America 2009. Being a TLC lover, I followed "Count Down to the Crown" the past several weeks, so I was definately into it! I personally wanted Miss Florida to win, but oh well.

Beyond television, school is progressively picking up from what seemed like a slow start, maybe because last semester was so intense. Anyways, we learned all the different views we will be using when we start scanning on Wednesday (yeah!) and how difficult it is to actually get in past the ribs and lung issues to see the heart (due to the physics of ultrasound, it is impossible to view a scan through bone and air) thus we have to use "windows" inbetween, above, and below the ribs (tricky stuff). Plus we have to be able to view the heart upside down and backwards as you can see in the picture on the left, which also makes things interesting. Ok so I could talk forever about it, but I will leave it at this for now. I will continue updating you with my interesting issues through out this semester.
Until next time...

My Bloody Valentine 3D

On Sunday I went to my Bloody Valentine 3D and it was pretty much the scariest movie ever. It started off with blood dripping off a hand and it looked like it was dripping on the head of the person infront of me. Then throughout the movie random things would look like they were popping off the screen and I would literally duck! Eventhough I had my eyes closed most of the movie I still thought it was a pretty good movie. I've decided it should be summer time. Or at least spring. I'm so tired of having to get up early to scrape my car or having to worry about dressing warm enough so I don't freeze to death. I would much rather have no classes and spend my time boating at the lake and wearing shorts and tank tops! Winter is my least favorite season but I guess this winter could have been a lot worse

4 DAYS!!!

Unfortunately I haven't been able to focus on school this week because in 4 days I am going to go see my favorite band, Coheed and Cambria. This is the thrid time I will be seeing them, and I am most excited for this one. The first time was at the Warped Tour so it was only a 30 minute set, and the second time I was late for the concert and it was at the Qwest Center so it wasn't very fun. But this time... Its at the Mid America Center and they are playing for a full hour. Should be a great concert and I will blog all about it on Monday with hopefully pictures of my own.
On another note my diet hasn't been going so great. my weight keeps seesawing. But I have been exorcising everyday so thats good, and sometimes I actually enjoy working out. Weird I know but whatever works I guess. other than that I've been pretty boring. Homework and cleaning have once again taken over my life so thats all I have for now. Hope everyone had a great week talk to you the 26th

Back to Class...

Over break I was pretty lazy. I got the 4th season of Grey's Anatomy for Christmas so I spent most of break re-watching the old episodes so I would know what was going on in the 4th season. My roomate Sam and I even spent an entire day from 11am until around 3am watching episodes. We didn't even get up to eat anything! Thats my idea of break. I started back to class this week and so far my classes are going good. I have class 5 days a week this semester though :( At least in my Comparitive Religion class we get to go on field trips! Nothing too exciting is going on at the school this week. Also, I'm learning about the hormones in Anatomy and Physiology II and its way easier than I expected. Im taking a English Composition class that I'm not looking forward too. Just from looking at the syllabus I can tell its going to be a ton of writing. My other class is Psychology which I haven't had yet, but I've only heard good things about the class so I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully classes keep running as smoothly as they have this week!

New Semester, New Adventures.

As the new Semester begins, I am finding out that my lfe is starting to look more adventurous! Friday before school started I went to a concert in Omaha as a last celebration before school started. I had a blast, and can't wait until my next concert on the 25th. I'm going to see my favorite band for the third time. Coheed and Cambria, I am such a big fan that my art major roommate and I painted one of their cd covers and I hung it on my wall. I'm going to see them at the mid America Center with Slipknot. I am very excited to say the least.

My new classes include Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Human Growth and Developement, and Comparitive Religion. It should be an active and exciting semester in the school as well. Also I have the sterotypical New Year's Resolution to lose weight so im on a diet, and working out. Hopefully I'll be seeing results soon. As new people come to look at the blogs, if you have any questions about the school feel free to email us or call us, we love to send stuff out. Also if you're looking for financial aid stuff, make sure you fill out you FAFSA and check our financial aid brochures. If you have any questions at all about financial aid feel free to get a hold of Deb Wilke at debrah.wilke@bryanlgh.org Other than that, I dont have much else to say. Hope everyone had a great break and is excited to be back in school

Hello!!!

So the semester has officially begun...I only have classes on MWF (besides my wonderful online ethics class), so my Tuesdays and Thursdays are amazing! Plus, it is great becuase all my favorite shows are on Monday nights so now I don't have to worry about potential tests the next day, I have the freedom to actually watch my shows stress free (Jon & Kate Plus 8, Bachelor, True Beauty, 17 Kids and Counting, and Little People Big World)! I am also really looking forward to this semester because we get to start scanning, finally!

Here is one of my random cute dog youtube videos...check it out it may just make you at least smile :)

Break

So break was there. I cant say it was good or bad. It definately had its ups and downs. I worked for my dad a couple of days digging holes in the frozen ground, that was neat enough. I Also went to Marley and Me.. I definately didn't cry at the end KT, you're just a softy! Back to work though and back to school. I am very excited for the semester because soon my new roommate will be moving in, I will be getting back to the library to work, and it just feels like it's going to be a good semester. Since I didn't blog at all over break and this blog is pretty weak I will probably be blogging again on wednesday
